On 18 November, Mr. Mohamed Ali Ould Sidi Mohamed, the Minister of Equipment and Transport, left Nouakchott for the United Arab Emirates, where he will participate in the third conference on aviation and alternative fuels, to be held in Dubai from 20 to 24 November.
The conference is an important step toward achieving the long-term global goal of zero carbon emissions by 2050, set by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) at its 41st Assembly, held in Montreal (Canada) from 27 September to 7 October 2022.
Mauritania is one of the countries that support and accompany the ICAO efforts in the environment field to achieve the ambitious long-term objective of reducing carbon dioxide emissions using alternative fuels rather than fossil fuels.
