The Minister of Education and Educational Reform, Ms. Houda Babah, received Ms. Amina Debisa Demboba, Senior Education Specialist and Project Manager for PASEB II at the World Bank, at her office on Tuesday.
The meeting provided an opportunity to review the results of the mission to support the implementation of the Primary Education Support Project (PASEB II), which took place from 20 to 27 January 2026.
During the meeting, Ms. Amina Debissa Demboba gave a presentation on the progress made in terms of project results, the implementation rate of the work plan and annual budget, and the development of activities linked to performance-based conditions under the variable part of the Global Partnership for Education funding.
For her part, the Minister congratulated the World Bank teams, the DPEF and the Ministry teams for the work accomplished under PASEB II and urged everyone to strengthen this coordination in order to improve the implementation of activities and ensure the project’s completion under the best conditions.
The meeting was attended by the Secretary General of the Ministry, the Advisor in charge of cooperation, the Director General of Reform and Foresight, the Assistant Director of DPEF, and the PASEB II Project Coordinator.
