An important project that aims to promote living adaptation process in the sahel region has been signed Tuesday at the Ministry of Rural Development in Nouakchott.
The project which create jobs opportunities for youth and women in the fragile rural zones of the country ,is financed by german agriculture ministry and activated by the united nations food and agriculture organization(FAO).
The project has been signed by the Minister of Rural Development, M. Dy Ould Zein, and United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), resident representative in Nouakchott, Mrs Irina Kouplevatskaya-Buttoud.
The goal of the project is to provide permanent jobs to youth and women in fragile rural zones.
The project has several components, one in mauritania where it starts, regional and international,within the G5 sahel .
At the national level ,the project targets to obtain a mechanism of both humanitarian action and development, from one part, security, and economic support ,by implementing a policy of short and long terms jobs creation.
In order to attain the goals, training programs will be done for national local trainers and technicians.
The ceremony of the project signature took place in the presence of in charge of a mission in the ministry of rural development, M. Mohamed Ould Baba,Acting Secretary General of the Ministry,and representing the German Embassy in Nouakchott, Ms A. Antige Kolner Schultz,deputy in charge of affairs resident in Nouakchott.
