Finance Ministry Launches Digital Platform for Budget Management

The manager of coordination and information systems at the budget General directorate, M. Ahmed Ould Mohamed Ould Abba, declared that the Finance Ministry has put in place a new digital platform, which coincides with the beginning of the state budget release for the year 2021 and budget release preparations for 2022, under the name of « Rachad System N° 2».

In a statement to the Mauritanian News Agency, he said that the system put in place a new portal for budget management and adopts a new mechanism for opening up loans and management of imprest accounts, taking into account the implementation of multi-year activities. The system is responsible for the allocation of amounts that will be spent annually within the framework of the implementation of the project, which will allow the latter to pursue uninterruptedly.

Ould Abba has indicated that the system will allow the departments to follow on a daily basis their balances and expenses, giving them reliable information about the cash flow and future needs.

He ended up by urging all ministerial departments to submit their expenditure figures during the ongoing year in order to be programmed in the systems.
