N’Djamena: Mauritania Participates in Meeting of ESMT Council of Ministers

The works of the 6th session of the Council of Ministers of the Multinational Higher School of Telecommunications (ESMT) have continued in the Chadian capital, N’Djamena, with the participation of Mr. Abdelaziz Ould Dahi, the Minister of Digital Transformation, Innovation, and Modernization of the Administration.

Among the most prominent topics on the agenda of this session are the strategic issues related to the development of training offers in this regional establishment responsible for training in the digital field.

The ESMT of Dakar was created in 1981, on the initiative of seven West African countries: Mauritania, Benin, Burkina Faso, Togo, Senegal, and Mali, in the framework of a UNDP project, with the support of the International Telecommunications Union, and the French, Canadian and Swiss cooperation. In 1998, Guinea Conakry joined this important edifice of regional cooperation.

The ESMT’s mission is to provide training in the technical and administrative fields of the digital sector: professional certificates, engineers, senior technicians, masters, specialized masters.
