Minister of Fisheries Leaves for Riyadh

On 28 January, Mr. Dy Ould Zein, the Minister of Fisheries and Maritime Economy, left Nouakchott for Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to attend the conference and the International Fisheries Fair that the Saudi capital will host between 30 January and 1 February.

The objective of the Riyadh conference is to encourage investments in fish farming, develop a specialized scientific platform, and learn the latest advanced techniques in this field.

The conference will discuss several topics relating to the fisheries sector, such as stimulating private investment for the sustainable production of the fish farming sector and the role of the fisheries in achieving food security.
