Mauritania Expresses Condolences for Death of Former Malian President

On 28 January, Mr. Moctar Ould Dahi, the Minister of Culture, Youth, Sports, and Relations with Parliament, Government Spokesperson, offered, at the Embassy of Mali in Nouakchott, the condolences of Mauritania to the sisterly Republic of Mali following the death of former Malian President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita.

“Following the death of the late Ibrahim Boubacar Keita, former President of the Republic of Mali, I address, on behalf of His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the Mauritanian Government and people, my most sincere condolences to the President of the Council of State of the Republic of Mali, Colonel Assimi Goita, to the Government and people of Mali.

I also extend my condolences to the family of the deceased. May Allah comfort and surround him with His Mercy and make him among the righteous servants.”
