Trarza: Ministerial Delegation Inquires About N’Diago Port Construction Works

Nouakchott, 26 October 2020 (AMI) – A Ministrial Delegation paid a visit on Monday ,26 October to Ndiago to enquire about the progress of the construction works at the port of Ndiago, Wilaya of Trarza. The delegation, led by the Minister of National Defense, Mr. Hanenna Ould Sidi, comprises the ministers of Equipment and Transport, and Fisheries and Maritime Economy, Mr. Mohamed Ahmedou M’Haimid and Abdel Aziz Ould Dahi.
The delegation toured the components of this infrustructure and followed technical explanations about the steps taken in the construction of the port, especially the quays and naval repair workshops.
The Ministrial Delegation had previously held a technical meeting in the presence of the Wali of Trarza, the president of the region, and Mayor of N’Diago. At the end of the meeting, the Minister of Equipment revealed to the Mauritanian News Agency (AMI ) that the ministerial delegation arrived to assess the progress of such a vital economic infrustructure, the Port of N’Diago, whose functions are multiple: trade, fishery, and defense as well as the naval repair workshops.
He concluded that a study is underway to elaborate an action plan, which guarantees optimal economic profits.
