The Director of Planning, Coordination, Program Follow-up and Statistics at the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development, Mr. Mohamed Lamine Ould Mohamed Salem Ould Boufreh, accompanied by the Regional Director of Education and Education Reform, Mr. Ahmed Ould Ambedeh, on Saturday, organized an educational trip for 78 students, half from the girls’ high school in Atar, and the other half from Shams El Din School in Oujifte.
This educational trip, organized by the Ministries of Environment and Sustainable Development and Education and Educational Reform under the Green Schools Program, aims to make students discover the ecosystem of the oasis of Tarjit, located 45 km from the provincial capital
Mohamed Elhassan Ould Elnama, head of the Programming and Coordination Department at the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development, said that this trip aims to create awareness and environmental culture among students to preserve nature.
He added that this program was launched in 2021 in cooperation between the Ministries of Environment and Sustainable Development and Education and Reform of the Educational System in order to establish model schools
He explained that Adrar state will benefit this year from the girls’ high school in the province of Atar and the Shams al-Din School in Oujifte, and that this experience will be extended to the various provinces of the state.
The students praised the trip, emphasizing that they enjoyed the atmosphere of the trip and the guidelines related to the ecosystem and its implications for the quality of internal tourism in the state
The trip took place in the presence of a group of educational supervisors and the Parents’ Association at these two educational institutions
