Mauritania Appreciates China‘s Support to Vaccination Program

The Islamic Republic of Mauritania appreciated the support from the friendly People’s Republic of China in launching the vaccination campaign against the pandemic of COVID-19.

A statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad stressed on the strength of the historical friendship ties and long-standing relations of cooperation between the two countries.

Here is the complete text of the communique:

“The Islamic Republic of Mauritania received today from the friendly People’s Republic of China a quantity of Sinopharm vaccines against COVID-19. The government seizes this occasion to thank the People’s Republic of China, its rulers, and people for this generous gift, which will enable us, God willing, to launch a vaccination campaign as soon as possible. We also would like to reaffirm the strength of the historical friendship ties and long-standing relations of cooperation between the two countries.

It is also an opportunity to affirm our country’s unwavering Support, since our independence, to the unity of the People’s Republic of China in all international l forums”.
