Nouakchott

Mauritania’s Minister of Finance, Codioro Moussa N’Guenore, met with a delegation from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Nouakchott on Tuesday to discuss cooperation between Mauritania and the Fund and review the country’s economic and financial situation.

The IMF delegation was led by Felix Fischer, head of the Fund’s mission to Mauritania.

Discussions focused on several issues related to public financial management and the country’s economic outlook, as well as progress in implementing economic and financial reforms. These efforts are part of the government’s broader agenda to strengthen macroeconomic stability and improve public finance management.

The two sides also explored ways to further strengthen their cooperation and continue coordination and dialogue on economic and financial policies.

The discussions aim to support the country’s ongoing reform process and improve prospects for achieving sustainable economic growth.
