Riyadh: The Minister of Water Participates in the Meeting of the Executive Office of the Arab Ministerial Council for Water
The Minister of Water and Sanitation, Mr. Ismail Abdel Fattah, participated on Tuesday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in the meeting of the Executive Office of the Arab Ministerial Council for Water.
The Executive Office of Water, of which Mauritania is a member, approved at its meeting Tuesday the recommendations made by the technical, scientific advisory committee.
The Executive Office also discussed 15 items presented by the technical committees, including those related to Arab cooperation in the exploitation of shared water resources and the expansion of the use of non-conventional water, in addition to presenting success stories and pioneering projects in the Arab countries in the field of water resources.
In this context, the Executive Office thanked the Islamic Republic of Mauritania for the presentation on its experience in the field of exploiting the “Zahr” underground lake, while assigning the Technical Secretariat of the Council to share this experience with the Arab member states to benefit from it.
