MP Biram Abeid Denies Rumors Circulated About President’s Non-candidacy for Second Term

Nouakchott, 1 September 2020 (AMI) – MP Biram Dah Abeid said that he is surprised by the erroneous information, published in the media. Such information claims that he has not revealed the content of his meeting with the President of the Republic, M. Mohamed Ould Cheikh Ghazouani, to the media, especially the President’s will to run for a second term.
He added that the news, widely spread in the media, that he was subject to severe threats and abuse from the President of the Republic were baseless.
