President of Republic Arrives in Brussels To Attend EDD22

On 20 June, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, arrived in Brussels to attend the European Development Days (EDD22), currently held in the Belgian capital from 21 to 22 June.

It is the first time a Mauritanian president has been invited to this forum. The choice of the participating Heads of State is based on the efforts they have made in the service of the consolidation of democracy, the rule of law, the preservation of human rights, justice, and the strengthening of economic and social stability and security.

The EDD22 will witness round tables discussing the ?Global Gateway: sustainable partnerships for a connected world?, which aims to develop smart, clean, and safe links in the fields of technology, energy, and transport and strengthen health, education, and research systems worldwide.

HE. Abdallahi Bah Naji Kebd, the Ambassador of Mauritania to Belgium, and the embassy staff received the President of the Republic upon his arrival at Brussels airport.
