On 4 May in Nouakchott, Mr. Mohamed Ali Ould Sid Mohamed, the General Delegate for National Solidarity, and the Fight against Exclusion (Taazour) held a working meeting with Mr. Tomoya Obokata, the UN Special Rapporteur on contemporary forms of slavery.

During the meeting, the General Delegate presented the development programs implemented by Taazour in all the wilayas of the country after having drawn up an ambitious plan of national solidarity and fight against exclusion.

This plan mainly aims to concretize the commitments of His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, aiming at eliminating the phenomena of poverty, injustice, and marginalization throughout the national territory.

Mr. Ould Sidi Mohamed explained that coordination with the inhabitants of the beneficiary villages is an important option to determine their needs and the projects they desire. He emphasized that the human being is the means and the end in all development programs implemented by Taazour for the benefit of vulnerable groups in all the towns and villages of the country.
