Prime Minister Receives UNICEF Regional Representative in West Africa

The Prime Minister, Mr. Mohamed Ould Bilal, received Tuesday morning in Nouakchott Mme Maria Pierre Poirier, regional representative of UN Children’s Funds (UNICEF) in West Africa.

The meeting was an occasion to discuss the cooperative relations between Mauritania and UNICEF and the means to develop them.

In a statement to the Mauritanian Agency of Information at the end of the meeting, the UN official praised Mauritania’s efforts to improve health services, education, and the extension of the base of beneficiaries, appreciating the commitment of the government in this regard.

The meeting took place in the presence of the following personalities:
– Nedhirou Ould Hamed, Minister of Health
– Sidi Ould Moulaye Zeine, Prime Minister’s head of cabinet.
