The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Health, Ms. Halima Ba Yahya, received Thursday, in the presence of the Japanese ambassador to our country, His Excellency Mr. Ahara Norio, at Mother and Child Health Center in Nouakchott, medical equipment and supplies provided by Japan.
In a speech on behalf of the minister of health, the secretary-general of the health ministry, expressed her pleasure at receiving these medical supplies, which come within the framework of the financial assistance provided by Japan to support the economic and social development program allocated to Mauritania.
On his part, the Japanese ambassador to Mauritania expressed his pleasure at the reception of Japanese medical equipment, which falls within the framework of the economic and social development program directed at fighting against Covid-19, with a financial envelope of 100 million Japanese yen, equivalent to 35 million new ounces for the benefit of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.
