Our Country Receives 100,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine as a Gift from UAE

The Minister of Health, Mr. Sidi Ould Zahaf, supervised today, Tuesday, at Nouakchott International Airport “Oumtounssi”, reception of 100,000 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine, and other medical equipment, provided by the sisterly United Arab Emirates, to our country.
On behalf of His Excellency the President of the Republic, M. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El-Ghazouani, he extended his thanks to the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, for this gesture, which indicates the strength of relations between the two brotherly peoples and the leaders of the two countries. In turn, the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates accredited to Mauritania, Mr. Hamad Ghanem Hamad Al Muhairi, expressed his happiness with the arrival of this fifth medical aid of its kind since the outbreak of the pandemic. He stressed that Mauritania and the United Arab Emirates have brotherly relations and promising and fruitful cooperation in many areas that serve the common interests of the two countries, pointing to the keenness and willingness of the leaders of the two countries to strengthen and develop cooperation relations between the two brotherly countries.
