Official Statement Text:
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania is following with great concern the rapid military developments in the Middle East following the American–Israeli attacks on the Islamic Republic of Iran.
In this regard, the Ministry expresses its strong condemnation of Iranian aggressions against the brotherly Arab states of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, the State of Kuwait, the State of Qatar, the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
The Islamic Republic of Mauritania affirms its unconditional solidarity with these brotherly nations and its categorical rejection of anything that undermines their security and stability, considering any threat to their security as a threat to Mauritania’s own security.
The Islamic Republic of Mauritania renews its call for an immediate end to the escalation, the exercise of self-restraint, and the prioritization of diplomatic solutions within the framework of respect for state sovereignty and the principles of international law, in order to preserve regional peace and security and spare the region further tension and instability.”
