President of Republic Holds Phone Call with Emir of Kuwait

His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, held a telephone conversation on Sunday with His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Emir of the sisterly State of Kuwait, following the missile attack that targeted Kuwaiti territory.

His Excellency the President affirmed Mauritania’s strong condemnation of this aggression and its full solidarity with the State of Kuwait. He emphasized that any threat to Kuwait’s security is considered a threat to Arab national security, calling for an immediate cessation of military actions and a return to the diplomatic path in order to preserve regional security and stability.

His Excellency the President and His Highness the Emir also expressed their pride in the deep-rooted, historical fraternal relations between the two brotherly countries, reaffirming their commitment to strengthening solidarity and enhancing mutual coordination.
