On 20 November, Ms. Fatimetou Mint Khattri, Food Security Commissioner, welcomed H.E. Mr. Tatsukuni Ushida, Ambassador of Japan to Mauritania, marking the conclusion of his diplomatic tenure in Mauritania.
The Commissioner and the Japanese Ambassador discussed bilateral cooperation and explored concrete measures to promote the partnership, particularly in food security.
During the meeting, the Ambassador commended the Mauritanian government and the Commissioner’s Office for advancing cooperation between both countries. He hailed the Commission’s commitment to fostering sectoral collaboration.
In turn, the Commissioner thanked the Ambassador for his efforts in promoting cooperation between the two countries, affirming our country’s eagerness to develop its relations with the friendly Empire of Japan.
