President of Republic Inaugurates Sheraton Nouakchott Hotel

On 20 November, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, President of the Republic, inaugurated the Sheraton Nouakchott Hotel. The hotel is owned by Mauritania Grand Hotels Company (GHM) and the National Industrial and Mining Company (SNIM).

At the start of the inauguration ceremony, His Excellency the President of the Republic watched a film about the hotel’s suites, the number of rooms, its capacity, and its contribution to the development of the tourism sector and the promotion of local development. He then cut the symbolic ribbon and unveiled the commemorative plaque, marking the start of operations at this important hotel.

The hotel, which will create more than 260 direct jobs, comprises a ground floor and six floors, housing 164 rooms, 34 luxury suites, and two presidential suites.
