President of Republic Holds Meeting With Regions’ Governors

On 20 November, in Nouakchott, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, held a long meeting with the walis (governors) of the country’s various regions.

The meeting was devoted to following up on the decisions of previous meetings, evaluating the performance of regional and local administrations, and assessing the quality of services provided to citizens. It also provided an opportunity to review the progress made in implementing public policies at the local level as part of the presidential program “My Ambition for the Homeland,” particularly the emergency program for universal access to basic services, recently launched by His Excellency, the President of the Republic, from the wilaya (region) of Hodh Chargui.
