The Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad, Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, held talks today, Monday, in Madrid, as part of his working visit to the Kingdom of Spain, with the Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. José Manuel Albares.
The discussions, which come within the context of regular political consultations between the two countries, focused on ways to follow up on the implementation of the results of the meetings presided over by His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, last July 14th. These meetings aimed to develop a strategic plan for monitoring the implementation of agreements signed between the two parties in the fields of migration, defense, equipment, energy, and agriculture, in addition to activating the cooperation agreement between the private sectors of the two countries.
