The Minister of Justice signs a cooperation agreement with his Moroccan counterpart and holds several working meetings.Rabat, October 21, 2025 (AMI) – The Minister of Justice, Mr. Mohamed Ould Soueidatt, carried out a working visit to the Kingdom of Morocco on Monday.He began by signing a cooperation agreement with the Minister of Justice, Mr. Abdellatif Ouahbi, for the period 2026-2027 in the field of digital transformation of justice.The Minister of Justice then met with the President of the House of Representatives, Mr. Rachid Talbi Alami, where they exchanged their views on the areas of cooperation between the two countries and the main challenges related to judicial cooperation.

The Minister of Justice also held a meeting with the Deputy President of the Supreme Council of the Judiciary of Morocco, Dr. M’hammed Abdennabaoui. During this visit, they exchanged views on the independence of the judiciary and the strengthening of its role as a guarantor of social peace, a catalyst for economic and social growth, and a fundamental pillar of the rule of law.The Deputy President of the Supreme Council of the Judiciary expressed his willingness to cooperate with the Ministry of Justice in the areas of judicial cooperation, the fight against organized and transnational crime, as well as capacity building, coordination, and cooperation in related fields.

The Minister of Justice also met with the Attorney General at the Court of Cassation of Morocco and the Prosecutor General of the Republic, Mr. Hicham Blawi. The two parties discussed issues of common interest and attended a technical presentation on working mechanisms. They expressed their willingness to strengthen coordination and cooperation to combat organized transnational crime, to share their experiences and expertise, and to enhance capacities and skills between this institution and the Ministry of Justice.The Minister of Justice concluded his activities yesterday with a visit and a meeting at the headquarters of the Moroccan Constitutional Court, where he received information from its president about the court, its powers, and its jurisdiction, and expressed his willingness to cooperate with the court in areas related to the justice sector.
