Foreign Minister Receives NATO Delegation

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad, Mr. Ismael Ould Cheikh Ahmed, received, at the headquarters of the Mauritanian diplomatic Academy in Nouakchott, a high-profile delegation from the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), led by Mr. Giovanni Romani, Head of the Middle East and North Africa Section at NATO’S Political Affairs and Security Policy Division.

During the meeting, both parties discussed the distinguished relations between Mauritania and NATO and the exploitation of Mauritania’s political and geopolitical characteristics to strengthen these ties and promote regional peace and security.

The visiting delegation received a comprehensive presentation about the nascent Mauritanian diplomatic academy and its role in boosting human resources and strengthening diplomatic ties.
