Interministerial Committee on Implementation of President of Republic’s Enlarged Priority Program Holds Meeting

The Prime Minister, Mr. Mohamed Ould Bilal Messaoud, chaired, Tuesday, a meeting of the interministerial committee responsible for the regular monitoring of the implementation of the enlarged priority program of the President of the Republic (ProPEP).

The meeting was an opportunity for the committee to take stock of the general level of progress of the activities and components of the program, review and examine all the difficulties encountered by the departments within the framework of the ProPEP implementation.

The Committee welcomed the great progress of the program since its last meeting.

It noted, in this context, the launch of many activities, among the most important of the program, both in Nouakchott and in the interior of the country.

In addition, a new dynamic took hold, which made it possible to overcome the greatest difficulties which prevented the smooth running of certain activities, particularly in terms of disbursement and procurement procedures.

At the end of the meeting, the Prime Minister urged the ministers to redouble their efforts to accelerate the execution of the Program and thus allow the rapid fulfillment of the commitments of the President of the Republic, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, to the satisfaction of our populations.

He reminded them of the permanent directives of the President of the Republic relating to strict respect for the quality of achievements, the involvement of citizens and civil society, as well as the necessary communication around the various aspects of the Program.
