German Financing Help for Mauritania Marine Surveillance

The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Promotion of Productive Sectors announced in a press release which Mauritanian news agency (AMI) has received a copy of it that Mauritania is beneficiary of a gift worth 220.000.000 New Ouguiya equivalent to 5.000.000 Euros from the German Bank for Development (KFW).The latter for extra financing for maritime surveillance project no 5.The project is about building a control office in the blue tower in Nouadhibou to help the better management of vessels movements and surveillance.
And it also strengthens the capacity of coast guards through training and use of sophisticated electronic devices and communication systems.

The Ministry on the occasion and on behalf of the Mauritanian people do thank Germany for the generous gift which with no doubt will have positive impacts on the lives of populations.
