Minister of Interior Receives Deputy Coordinator of US Bureau of Counterterrorism

Nouakchott, 7 October 2020 (AMI)- The Minister of the Interior and Decentralization, Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, received, on 7 October in Nouakchott, the Deputy Coordinator of the United States Bureau of Counterterrorism, Mr. Chris Harnisch, accompanied by the American ambassador to Mauritania, Michael Dodman.
The meeting discussed the cooperation relations between the two countries and ways to enhance and develop them, especially with regard to Mauritania’s efforts in combating terrorism.
The meeting was an opportunity for the US official to praise the Mauritanian approach in this field.
