President of Republic Declares Assets Before Commission for Financial Transparency of Public Life

On 12 September, in Nouakchott, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic,  declared his assets before Mr. Cheikh Ahmed Ould Sidi Ahmed, the President of the Supreme Court and Chairman of the Commission for Financial Transparency of Public Life.

The declaration was received by Mr. El Moustapha Ould Sidoumou, the Commission’s reporting clerk, in exchange for a deposit receipt.

The Commission for Financial Transparency in Public Life is composed of the President of the Supreme Court, the President of the Court of Auditors, the President of the Higher Council for Fatwa and Gracious Appeals, and members appointed by the aforementioned bodies.
