Prime Minister Meets with Employment Ministry Officials

The Prime Minister, Mr. Mohamed Ould Bilal, held a meeting, on Friday in Nouakchott, with the Minister of Employment, Youth, and Sports, Mr. Taleb Ould Sidi Ahmed, and his staff composed of the Secretary General; officers in charge of special duties; advisors; inspectors general; central directors and their staff; in addition to the directors of public establishments operating under the supervision of the ministry.

This meeting is held following the directives of His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, aimed at accelerating the pace of the implementation of his program, which has been declined in the Government’s Policy Statement.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister transmitted the instructions of the President of the Republic, concerning the need to respect official working hours and to bring services closer to the citizen, in application of his program, which focuses on the concerns of the Mauritanian people.

The Prime Minister said that this program has been partially achieved but that much remains to be done. This program, which is the first reference for all our officials and in all our actions, has been reflected in the general policy statement of the government and in the sectoral strategies, in addition to the strategy of accelerated growth and shared prosperity (SCAPP).

He said that the resources are available and that there is no reason to see laxity and lethargy prevail, calling for accelerating the implementation of this program and addressing the challenges facing that. He indicated that the administration must meet expectations in terms of adherence to the principles of good governance and rational management of public affairs.

For his part, the Minister of Employment, Youth, and Sports praised the importance of this visit, which will give a strong impetus to the action of the various departments of the ministry, which are experiencing great dynamism, which will have a positive impact on the implementation of its various programs and projects.
