Kaedi
On Tuesday evening in the capital of the Wilaya of Gorgol, the candidate for the 2024 presidential elections, Mohamed Lamine Mourteji El Wafi, , presided over an election night as part of the electoral campaign leading up to the June 29th elections.
The candidate explained that the country is in desperate need of someone to save it and put an end to the corruption it suffers from, noting that the competition is strong, but he is encouraged by the trust and support of his supporters.
The candidate emphasized that fighting corruption requires several conditions that other candidates do not meet, as he has an economic background, noting that the country has witnessed two types of corruption, the first of which is represented by those who seek their personal interests at the expense of the interest of the country, and the second is that the majority of businessmen adopt politics as a pattern of profit and personal gain.
He pointed out that most parliamentarians are businessmen and work to achieve personal interests that are inconsistent with their oversight roles and at the expense of citizens’ concerns and daily issues for which they were elected, noting in this regard that any candidate who receives support from a businessman paves his way towards achieving his personal interests, he said.
He warned that the youth quota in parliament is nothing more than a quota for the children of businessmen, and does not represent the youth, nor does it raise their demands or express their ambitions for their country.
