The candidate for the 2024 presidential elections, Mr. El Eid Mohameden M’barek, the candidate of the Union of Salvation Forces, launched on Tuesday evening in Nouakchott, from his campaign headquarters in Nouakchott, the national women’s campaign.
The candidate explained that the image present in the women’s campaign last night represents the different components of the Mauritanian people and the generations of the country, noting that women have been present during the struggle in Mauritania since its inception, leading campaigns and institutions.
He emphasized that the barriers that some have tried to place in order to break the national unity made the Alliance of Salvation Forces work to fight them and focus on national unity.
The candidate pledged that if he wins the presidential elections, he will appoint women to all sovereign positions, as women are the main factor of society.
In a related context, the candidate reviewed his electoral program during a press point, following the launch of the women’s campaign, indicating that this program includes improving the living conditions of citizens and ensuring their well-being, stressing that every national project must guarantee public services and decent living for citizens.
He explained that his electoral program is the result of the thinking of a group of political forces that were ideologically divergent, noting that this alliance is a model to be followed in uniting the Mauritanian class despite other differences.
He added that his electoral program includes eight basic axes in all areas, most notably the unity of Mauritania and education.
He pointed out that his coalition brought together different generations and types of the Mauritanian spectrum and carries the project of Mauritanian coexistence.
