Special Study day on Scientific Research

The English Department of the University of Nouakchott, in cooperation with the Municipality of Ksar, organized on Saturday a special study day on scientific research under the title Language, Culture and Social Development, in the presence of foreign researchers and legal figures.

During the day, the Mayor of Ksar and Head of Scientific Research at the Faculty of Arts, Mr. Mohamed Salek Aammar, gave a speech in which he spoke about his keenness to develop scientific research and his readiness to serve this sector from his position, and the coordinator of the Master supervising the school day, Mr. Bilal, spoke in his speech about the importance of organizing study days on scientific research as an opportunity to exchange experiences, and the Head of the English Department, Mr. Yacoub Coulibaly, gave a speech in which he thanked the audience and welcomed the efforts made in this Context.

During the day, scientific research was presented in different and varied journals by foreign researchers from the United States and local from the University of Nouakchott, the Higher Institute of English and the Lebanese University, these researches differed from master’s and doctoral theses that presented the latest findings in the field of language, communication, and social development.

The day was an opportunity to exchange experiences and discuss the information obtained from this research, as well as an opportunity to introduce the diversity and richness of Mauritanian culture.
