The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Mauritanians abroad, Mr. Ismail Ould Sheikh Ahmed, participated ,via video-conference , on Thursday, in the second session of the ministerial meeting of the Arab-Japanese political dialogue.
In his speech to the conference, he praised the great efforts made by the Qatari Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman bin Jassim Al Thani, head of the Arab side of the session, and Mr. Toshimitsu Motegi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan, head of the Japanese side, and the General Secretariat of the Arab League for Providing the appropriate conditions for the success of this dialogue.
He stressed the importance of this meeting in achieving the goals for which it was established, which include the scientific and cultural aspects and the development of human resources, appreciating what the State of Japan is doing in keeping up with development projects and programs in Arab countries.
He called on everyone to work to provide the necessary vaccines to address the dangers of the Covid-19 pandemic and its devastating effects globally, recalling the carefully planned plan that Mauritania had undertaken since the first time to prevent and combat the repercussions of this scourge.
He explained that among the useful solutions to overcome the economic challenges resulting from this epidemic, the need to cancel debts from developing countries, praising the assistance provided by Japan to our country in facing this epidemic.
