Arab League Welcomes Restoration of Diplomatic Ties Between Mauritania, Qatar

An official source at the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States welcomed the announcement of the restoration of diplomatic relations between Qatar and Mauritania and the agreement to reopen the two embassies in the two countries as soon as possible.

The source added that this step aims to end the differences, calm the prevailing climate, bridge the gap between the brothers and restore Arab cohesion.

The source praised the important role played by the Sultanate of Oman in mediating between the two brotherly countries, which has kept pace with talks between the two countries through intensive contacts in recent weeks, paving the way for the resumption of relations between them.
