Foreign Minister Receives Brotherly, Friendly Countries’ Ambassadors

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad, Mr. Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed held separate talks, Thursday in Nouakchott, with HE Mr. Nourdine Khandoudi, Ambassador of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, HE Mr. Seif Ben Hilal Ben Alioun El Maamery, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman, HE Mr. Jesus Ignacio Santos Aguado, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain, HE Mr. Leonardo Carvalho Monteiro, Ambassador of Brazil, and HE Ms. Inger Tangbom, Chargé d’affaires of the US Embassy.

These meetings focused on issues of common interest and on ways to strengthen relations between Mauritania and these different countries.

The meetings were attended by Mr. Mohamed El Hanchi El Kettab, Ambassador, Director General of Bilateral Cooperation, Mr. Oumar Mohamed Babou, Ambassador, Director of the Arab World, Mr. Ahmed Ould Mahmouden, Ambassador, Director of European Affairs, Mr. Mohamed Lemine Chemra, Ambassador, Director of American Affairs, and several other officials.
