Minister of National Defense Inquires about Zemmour 2 Maneuver Progress

During a visit to the city of Zouerate on Thursday, the Minister of National Defense, Mr. Hanena Ould Sidi, inquired about the progress of the Zemmour 2 Maneuver, currently hosted by the wilaya (region) of Tiris Zemour.

The Minister, accompanied by the Wali (governor) of Tiris Zemmour, Mr. Isselmou Ould Sidi, the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Major General Mohamed Bamba Meguet, and senior officers, visited the field of joint operations and the direction of the military exercise.

On the spot, the delegation heard detailed explanations on the conduct of the exercise and the nature of the operations underway as part of this maneuver, which aims to develop the defensive and attack capabilities of the national army.

The minister is expected to attend the final stages of the maneuver due to end on Friday.
