Minister of Economy Signs two loan Agreements with the World Bank Worth 3.39 Billion Ouguiya

On 11 December in Nouakchott, the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Mr. Abdesselam Ould Mohamed Saleh signed, with the resident representative of the World Bank in our country, Ms. Cristina Isabella Santos, two soft loan agreements worth 64.8 million Special Drawing Units, equivalent to about 3.395 billion. The first agreement relates to additional financing for the project to support decentralization and development of medium-production cities, amounting to 19 million and 100 thousand Special Drawing Rights, equivalent to about one billion new ouguiya.

The project aims to improve access to services in the selected areas and enhance the capacity of local authorities to plan and manage local public services.
