Nouakchott: Organizing Marches in Solidarity With the Palestinian People

On Monday 11 December, the Mauritanian capital, Nouakchott, witnessed massive solidarity marches in support of the Palestinian cause, denouncing the blatant violations committed against the Palestinian people, and in response to an international demand called for by the Palestinian factions.

The demonstrators, who gathered in front of the Embassy of the United States of America, demanded, through large banners, an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, the entry of necessary supplies into it, and the lifting of all forms of siege.

Local elected representatives, imams, workers from various public and private sectors, and civil society associations participated in the solidarity stand. They were united by the goal and united by the issue that remained the main concern of all free people in the world.

The participants in the demonstration carried various slogans, all of which focused on championing and supporting the Palestinian cause and its centrality to the Mauritanian people, denouncing in the strongest terms the genocide, forced displacement, and aggressive violations against them that the brotherly Palestinian people are being subjected to.
