Water Minister Leaves for Riyadh

On 20 November, Mr. Ismail Ould Abdel Fattah, the Minister of Water and Sanitation, left Nouakchott for Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to participate in the meetings of the executive office of the Arab Water Conference, which will begin on 21 November and will last three days.This year, the theme of the Arab Water Conference is “Sustainable Development in the Arab Region: Sixth Goal – Challenges and Opportunities”.

The meetings of the technical committees of the Arab Water Conference and the Arab Ministerial Water Council began on 19 November in Riyadh, with the participation of Mr. Moulaye El Hacen Ahmed, the advisor in charge of urban water, and Mr. Mohamed Ould Jiddou, coordinator of the project to supply the city of Kiffa with drinking water from the river.
