Minister of Justice Meets With Member of European Parliament

On 27 June, in Nouakchott, the Minister of Justice, Mr. Mohamed Mahmoud Ould Cheikh Abdoullah Ould Boya, met with Ms. Maria Arena, the Chair of the Sub-Committee on Human Rights (SC-CDH) in the European Parliament, currently visiting Mauritania to take part in an international forum on development, governance, and human rights in the Sahel.

During the meeting, the two parties examined the various aspects of the cooperation between the Ministry and the European Union and the ways and means of promoting the independence of justice and human rights as well as the fight against organized crime and all forms of illicit trafficking.
