President of Republic Supervises Forum on Development, Governance, and Human Rights in Sahel

The President of the Republic, H.E. Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, supervised Monday in Nouakchott the kick-off of an international forum held under the theme: ?the Sahel: Development, Governance, Human Rights.. for the security of the Sahel Populations?.

During the two-day forum, the participants will follow a series of lectures and presentations on the history of security challenges, phenomena of violence and crimes in the Sahel region, governance and decentralization in this region, and development sources and conflicts there.

This forum, Organized by the Mauritanian government in cooperation with the European Parliament, is an opportunity to explore the security and development challenges in this region and provide an accurate data on the security status of its population.
