President of the Republic Meet with executives and Public figures of Tiris Zemmour

Zouerate, 3 November 2020 (AMI)-The President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, met, on Monday in Zouerate, with executives, elected officials, and notables from Tiris Zemmour as well as representatives of gold panners and number of officials from Maaden Mauritania and the SNIM.

At the begining of the meeting, the President of the Republic expressed his thanks to the inhabitants of Tiris-Zemmour for the warm welcome and generous hospitality that he and his delegation had received.

Afterwards, the President of the Republic gave the floor to the executives and public figures of Tiris Zemmour to present their opinions and pose their issues regarding the different domains of development in the region.

The participants had appreciated the results of the participatory meeting on the issue of artisanal and semi- industrial activity. At the same time, some speakers demanded the expansion of water services, electricity, education, and health to face the repercussions of the demographic growth of the region.
