President of Republic Oversees 2022 Chinguitt Award Ceremony

On 27 January, in Nouakchott, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, supervised the ceremony of the 2022 Chinguitt Award ceremony, awarded for the first time in 2001 to encourage research and innovation.

The President of the Republic presented the award for the work (in Arabic language) carried out on “Islamic studies” to Dr. Yehdhih Abderrahmane Cheikh Ahmedou El Ghoulam on “The Collective Consensus and Comparative Fiqh and their Importance in Contemporary Times

” and to Dr. Mohamed Yeslem El Moujewid for his work on “the Renewal of the Study of the Language of the Holy Koran, Analysis of the Collections of Imam Abdel Hamid al Varahi”.

His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani awarded the shared literature prize to Dr. Mohamed Vall Ould Cheikh for his work (in French) on “What foundations for a linguistic and educational policy in Mauritania” and to Dr. Ahmed Salem Ould

Babah on “Introduction to the Hassaniya dialect of Mauritania – grammatical and lexical study”.

The prize for science and technology was awarded by the President of the Republic to both Boyyah Ould Moissa, for hi work on “the contribution to the understanding of the interactions between fisheries and marine tropic networks and the opportunity to

use of mathematics for the scientific management and preservation of fisheries resources in Mauritania”, and to Mr. Mohamed Ould Moussa for his work on “energy research and experimental and numerical investigations of the energy performance of a Hawt wind turbine and the contribution to elucidating the influences of the characteristics of the flow on the performance of the wind turbine”.

After receiving their awards, the laureates presented, each in his field, the content and objectives of their work.
