President of Republic Lays Foundation Stone for Construction of New University Complex

On 3 January, in the moughataa of Tevragh Zeina, Nouakchott,  His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, supervised the laying of the foundation stone for the construction of a new university complex at the University of Nouakchott.

This university complex, which should be completed within 24 months, will increase the university capacity, and 80 classrooms will be built for the Faculty of Legal and Economic Sciences; 38 laboratories, ten amphitheaters, and 80 classrooms for the Faculty of Sciences and Technology; 11 language laboratories, 73 offices, and 35 classrooms for the Faculty of Arts; two amphitheaters, three offices, and 14 classrooms, dedicated to the Faculty of Medicine.

The total cost of this university complex, which covers a total area of 37,297 square meters, is 919,991,674 Ouguiyas.
