Brief Biography of Malian Transitional President

The President of transition in Mali, His Excellency, Mr. Bah N’Daw, who is currently visiting our country, was born on August 23rd 1950 in the locality of San, the region of Ségou, in the center of Mali. He completed his studies and military training successfully until he reached the rank of colonel in the Malian Air Force; before he subsequently asserted his rights to retirement. He held several positions, including defense minister from 2014 to 2015 in the government of the former president Mr. Ibrahim Boubacar Keita.

The Transitional Council in Mali, supported by the 5 June movement, M5, and civil society forces, had chosen Bah N’Daw for the transitional presidency on 21 December 2020 following the fall of former President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita.
