Armed Forces Chief of General Staff Holds Working Session With Senegalese Counterpart

On 12 December, in Nouakchott, Major General Mokhtar Bolla Chaabane, the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, held a working session with General Cheikh Wade, the Chief of the General Staff of the Senegalese Armies, who is currently visiting Mauritania.
After an exchange of welcome notes between the two officials, the two delegations followed two separate presentations by Colonel Ahmed Salem Mohamed Vall Ould Zein, the Commander of the Operations Brigade at the General Staff of the Armed Forces, on the existing military cooperation relations between the two brotherly countries and on the results of the joint patrols between the Mauritanian and Senegalese armies along the common border between the two countries.
The program of this visit, which aims to strengthen military cooperation between the two countries, provides for the visit of a number of national military institutions in the capital and the holding of meetings with the Minister of National Defense and the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces.
