Islamic Affairs Minister Kicks Off Chinguitt Mahadra Activities

The minister of Islamic Affairs and Original Education, Mr. Dah Ould Sidi Ould Amar Taleb, supervised, Monday in the city of Akjoujt, the launch of the activities of the Great Chinguitt Mahadra.

This institution, built with funding from the State of the United Arab Emirates, aims to preserve the pioneering role that the authentic Mauritanian Mahadra plays in the dissemination of Islamic sciences, in all their diversity, and Islamic culture, in general.

In a speech on the occasion, the minister clarified that the Chinguitt Mahadra is one of the main sources of Islamic values and national authenticity, stressing that the anchoring of national identity requires special attention to the Mahadra, and to the development of its pedagogical methodology.
