Health Director General: ‘COVID-19 Vaccine To Comply with National Cold Chain Capacities’

Health Director General Sidi Ould Zahaf said the COVID-19 vaccine would reach all the target groups that will be identified.

He added that the government would undertake a wide awareness-raising campaign throughout the national territory to educate the citizen on the nature, quality, and purpose of the vaccine.

In addition, Mr. Sidi Ould Zahaf stressed that the vaccine requires special storage conditions and that as a result the ministry has expressed its need for an effective vaccine, safe, and in line with the national cold chain used in the context of the Expanded Program on Immunization.
